This page is the introduction to Field Notes, not a Field Note about SAIOS itself. It exists so the section has something real to show rather than an empty promise — and so the format is clear before the first substantive note publishes.
What a Field Note is
A Field Note is a short, original SAIOS perspective — not a transcript summary, and not tied to any single meeting or video. Each one starts from something accumulated over real work: research, project experience, implementation lessons, recurring patterns, or a tension between what was expected and what actually happened. It identifies that pattern, develops a perspective on it, and tests that perspective against evidence and already -approved SAIOS decisions before it is written up as a note.
How one gets published
Nothing appears on this page automatically. A Field Note moves through draft, review, and approved states in this repository before its frontmatter is set to published — the same governed-review discipline SAIOS applies to any other consequential output. Git is the system of record: there is no separate CMS, and nothing is published without a human approving it first.
What to expect here
Right now, this welcome note is the only thing published. As real notes clear review, they will appear on this index, in this feed, and in the sitemap — with no filler in the meantime.
