SAIOS is a governed operating approach, not a piece of hardware — it determines what work requires, uses the tools and knowledge an organization already has, and keeps decisions under human control. SAIOS Cube is a proposed, concept-stage way to run that same governed approach locally: one deployable node intended to combine local compute, governed configuration, and approved cloud synchronization, so the governed workflow can operate at a physical location and not only inside a browser tab.

What it is

SAIOS Cube is a proposed physical and software deployment model for SAIOS. It is intended to package local compute, configuration, monitoring, governed workflows, and cloud-connected services into a consistent node that can be installed and operated at multiple locations.

Internal cable management and removable, serviceable panels are also part of the proposed design.

One chassis, a replaceable compute sled

SAIOS Cube is designed around the current compact Mac mini M4 / M4 Pro physical envelope. Future compatibility — including a same-size or smaller M5-generation Mac mini — is intended to be handled through a replaceable compute sled and a replaceable rear I/O insert, not by redesigning the enclosure. M5 support is a concept-stage design goal, not a finalized specification.

Development status

SAIOS Cube is currently in development.

The enclosure, internal architecture, thermal design, power design, software packaging, cloud synchronization model, security model, and deployment workflow are being defined and validated.

The concept may evolve as the SAIOS platform, field requirements, security model, and deployment architecture mature.
